This is a record of October 6.
My climbing mates took me to
"Master's Roof 5.12"
in Yahazudake Mountain, Miyazaki.
Kyusyu's No1.Granaite climbing is this area, Hieai Mountain, Ookue Mountain, and Yahazu Mountain.
The 1st pitch to the master's roof is 5.9.
So I climbed the 1st pitch.
So, everyone got something to enjoy.
The view from the anchor/belay point.
I did just 1st pitch, but it did worth trying, the view is great!
I will be so scared to climb the roof at this high.
You will have to hike a half an hour or so, the old abandoned trolley trail... it is pretty flat.
Then hike up the climber's subtle trails... steep and very much just the wild land.
you can find it if you are a climber... it starts from the end of tunnel. There is a red ribbon as a mark.
We tried to cross the river down there at first, but no way of crossing, too much water.
Be sure to bring your aid climbing gear, such as a skyfook and aider, etc. Bring a 60m rope for top-rope or rappel from the anchor.
The 5.12 climber took almost 2 hours to get up the 5.9, seriously, it is harder than it says.
I don't trust grading at all... better not.
WE had a such a nice time there this day. Except the climb was harder than it seemed.
